Q:   Is delivery really free?

A:   Yes. We deliver every system for free in Houston, Pearland, Galveston, and the surrounding areas. We do not deliver far north of Houston, however. These areas include The Woodlands, Katy, Richmond, and beyond. If you live within roughly a 50-mile radius of Friendswood, TX, we guarantee a free computer delivery, installation, and consultation. If you believe you live outside of these limits, give us a call and we'll let you know what we can do. If you aren't too far away, we can still personally deliver and install your custom computer, for a small fee of $25.00 (still CHEAPER than regular shipping!).

 

Q:   Can I pick up my custom computer myself?

A:   Yes. We are centrally located in the Friendswood/Pearland area. Just call us to schedule a day and time that's convenient for you to pick up your custom system and one of our System Delivery Specialists will meet you for pick-up.

 

Q:   I hear no sound while playing games or listening to music:

A:   The first step to try is to check if you are plugging the speaker set into the correct output device. If you have a dedicated sound card such as you will need to plug your speakers into the sound card itself, not the motherboard output jacks. Make sure you are plugging the speakers into the correct color port, usually this port is green or blue. If you are using a multi-channel speaker system, try using headphones or a two piece speaker set.

 

Q:   I am having start up, stability, or performance issues:

A:   All of our systems are extensively tested in our prior to drop-off, a defective component is very unlikely. However, sometimes unforeseen things happen, we understand. Reseat all memory, video card, sound card, PCI card drives and verify the "24-Pin" motherboard power cable and "4-Pin" CPU power cable are secured mounted to the motherboard. You should also try to isolate a bad component, such as a stick of memory, PCI card, or video card and see if that resolves the issue.

 

Q:   Windows is failing to start up, or, I receive a "Media Disconnected" or "Boot-up Failure" message:

A:   Check data and power cable connections going to the hard drive(s). Follow the data cable from the hard drive(s) to the motherboard as well and reseat those connections.

 

Q:   How long does it take for my order to be dropped-off?

A:   Our build-time is about 7-14 business days. This begins after we have successfully processed your order. If we encounter any issues with your order during assembly, testing, or quality assurance, we will hold back your order to ensure we ship a high-quality product to our customers. We do not sacrifice quality over speed. This means we aren't going to rush your order to meet a 7 day drop-off time if that means your system will not be up to Kingpin standards. We do not guarantee drop-off times mainly because we don't want to be stuck with a deadline when we want to make sure our customers receive nothing but the best product possible.

 

Q:   What do the warranties cover?

A:   The warranties that come with each system are independent to each individual component. This means, that if a component fails, even after our exhaustive and thorough testing, it is your option to return that malfunctioning part to the manufacturer of that specific part for free. Usually, these warranties last from 12 months to 24 months. If your computer system develops an issue that seems to have occurred due to a malfunctioning component, we will send a technician at no cost to you within the first 30 days if you live in the Houston/Pearland/Galveston area*. Most issues can be resolved for free over the phone, however. We may have the system sent back to us for service. Please contact us for more details.

 

Q:   What do I receive with my Kingpin system?

A:   You will receive all of the original manufacturer hard copies, such as manuals, and CD's. You will receive boxes that each part came in as well, so you have the flexibility to use them at your discretion. You will also receive an authentic Microsoft Windows key if you have ordered a operating system with your computer purchase. Every system comes with lifetime toll-free phone support.

 

Q:   What is your return policy?

A:   If the customer just received the computer system and (1) it is within the first 7 days of original delivery and (2) there are issues with the hardware within the system,  then Kingpin Systems will provide a full 100% refund on the price of the computer system once the unit has arrived back to us and we have confirmed the issues to be hardware related. Delivery costs, from Kingpin Systems to the customer and from the customer to Kingpin Systems are not refunded. Any damages or missing items will also have a fee deducted from the final credit.

 

Q:   Where is your company located?

A:   Kingpin Systems is located throughout Houston and its surrounding areas. We take advantage of various low-cost locations to minimize delivery costs and system building costs. We consider our website location to be our storefront and depend wholeheartedly on our employees' professional phone and at-home support to give Kingpin Systems the best image possible.
